The Hakushu 12 Years Old comes from Suntory's second distillery,
seen as the Japanese connoisseurs whisky of choice. A light malt
with a hint of smoke, Martine Nouet describes it as "A
perfectly balanced dram".
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Golden.
Nose: Pears, crushed leafy bracken a hint of
citrus and a subtle hit of smoked oak chips.
Palate: First comes the smoked oak chips and
then sweet poached pears.
Finish: A long lingering and pleasantly smoky
finish.
